    Beautiful Hotel

    The attention to details is quite unique, best materials and craftsmanship is evident everywhere; from the concierge to the piano player in the Lobby it just works well. Excellent service and food in the Market restaurant. We had a small emergency, no problem, had prompt first aid help, and a no-charge limo to the hospital. Needless to add that the suites are excellent and the location of Shangri-la is hard to beat. The Shangri-La is an excellent hotel. I was recently there on business for three nights, everything from the staff, to the quality of the room service food, the spa, the room itself was fantastic. There was a roomy desk, couch, and a bar area. We were there for a week and it was enough space to move around and feel like you weren't cramped. Located walking distance from the water - we had a great stay!

    Perfect Stay

    Of all the hotels we've stayed at, this Vancouver Shangri-La Team epitomizes SERVICE at the highest level. You always hear the term 'you get what you pay for' but this takes the cake, you indeed get your money's worth and then some. The normal 'beyond control' physical attributes stays true to the Shangrila Brand location is amazing right smack in the center of downtown, close to pickup points if travelling to Whistler, Grouse, Parks, and other spots. Amenities are top notch; from toiletry kits (loccitane) to room fixtures, TV sets, media capabilities (chromecast, etc) to bed sheets. Internet connects automatically with decent symmetrical speeds of 20mbps for Down/Uploads. Efficiency. You tell them your preference/s in advance, and that is followed always, all the time, for the remainder of your stay. Thoughtfulness. This hotel's consideration and attention to detail are second to none. Everywhere you go, someone's always asking if you're okay or if they can get you something from a simple bottle or water, an umbrella or what not. Delightful. Problem Solving and Know How. The sincerity is almost tangible, one can really feel the desire of this team to help and be of service. Sir Avi, the gentleman on the front desk highlights this-- I lost my hat coming back from a day tour which I arranged with another operator. Yeah, am pretty sure chances of getting it back is close to zero but I tried nonetheless. Gave him a few details, and the next day, the hat was sitting on my bed with a note and a smiley. It's like having a genie on call I kid you not.

    Nice Stay

    Shangri-La is located perfectly. Only 1 block from all the high end stores which are on Alberti Street, 2 blocks from Robson Street, a 10 min walk to the waterfront, and about a 5 min drive to Gastown. The hotel offers a complimentary car service which runs until 10 pm and is first come first serve We found it to be mostly available. I would like to suggest extending the time till at least 11 pm on weekends. Shangri-La has 1 restaurant called Market by Jean-Georges. Besides indoor seating there's a very nice outdoor patio with heaters and blankets. A happy hour is held from 4-6 pm and 9 pm to close The restaurant has good food. I definitely recommend getting a couple of cocktails and the charioteer board, its really good. Don't miss breakfast, its SO fantastic! For sure get the Brioche French Toast. I'd suggest splitting that and another dish with someone. Portions are large.
