The Gelendzhik Embankment strings along the Black Sea and beach for eight kilometres. It’s lined with cycling paths, amusement parks, monuments, sculptures, cafes and eateries. Hop on a boat excursion to traverse the picturesque Blue Bay or head to deeper water for scuba diving in enchanting grottos or shipwrecks. Families will love Golden Bay, one of the largest water parks in Russia with a high-speed Kamikaze slide and a play zone for the little ones. At the Gelendzhik Safari Park, you can encounter everything from peacocks to elephants and tigers. You can also enjoy choreographed shows at the Gelendzhik Dolphinarium and rides and games at Olymp Entertainment Park.

The cafes and eateries in Gelendzhik serve multinational cuisine, such as Uzbek dishes at Halal restaurant. Spend an evening at Bravissimo to enjoy European-style dining and live music. Stroll along the seafront to see the Old Lighthouse with its impressive stained-glass windows.

Getting around

Gelendzhik Airport sits just five kilometres from the city centre. You can rent a car at the airport or in the city. Buses, taxis and bicycle rentals provide plenty of options for getting around.
