The reception staff were friendly and helpful from check in to check out and also very patient in recommending restaurants to eat, when I wasn't feeling very decisive. The room we stayed in was very stylish/modern and I liked being able to sit on the raised window seat and watch the world go by. Despite being a street facing room, I didn't hear much from the street outside or the revelers leaving clubs, plus we had electronic shutters to help keep light and noise out. Having the Monkey Bar to go back to at the end of the day was also great and the drinks, although not a cheap as elsewhere in Bangkok. I thought were reasonable for a hotel bar. The views from Monkey Bar are the highlight as you can look over Bangkok Zoo or the city skyline as the sun goes down. Ordering drinks at the bar was a little odd with one person taking your order and then you waited for one of the other bartenders to make it, but we got used to it. It's also in a great location just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. There's also plenty of shops nearby, in case you get a day when the weather isn't so great for seeing the city. We also took advantage of the rental bikes in the hotel, as we found this a great way to get around the city, especially with it being so flat. The bikes are in great condition and Bangkok is a very cycle friendly city with lots of lanes. I would highly recommend this hotel, if you're visiting Bangkok and want something a little bit different.
