Hyatt Regency Toronto Hotel

Our stay at the Hyatt regency Toronto was very good. The hotel is very clean and nice as you would expect from a Hyatt hotel. Staff were very helpful and attentive to every question asked. Room is great and have a good ambiance. Bathroom has the basic toiletries and well maintained. The hotel is located in a busy area where there are many restaurants and nightclubs, however it does get quite busy at night including many homeless people on the streets. The hotel is within walking distance to the main shopping mall and Chinatown which was handy. I enjoyed my stay, worth the price.

The location is amazing, the lobby is gorgeous, check in / out was easy and quick and our dealings with the concierge were great, the rest of the hotel didn't quite live up to what we are accustomed to with the Hyatt brand. Our room was on a floor that is in the midst of remodeling (which we were unaware of until we got to our floor and saw a sign in the hallway). Our room had not (yet?) been remodeled, and it seemed like it had been forgotten about. There was significant water damage on the shower ceiling from a leaky shower head. The shower head no longer stayed horizontal, but kept falling down towards the wall, making it really hard to stand under to wash. Water pressure wasn't great. We noted the shower head issue with the front desk, and they said someone would come up to fix it. We noticed the leaking had stopped / slowed down the next day, but the shower head itself was still angled way down & wouldn't stay up. The room in general seemed tired and worn out. I understand it's probably going to be remodeled soon, but it should be kept up better for the guests who are still staying there until then. I knew from looking at photos that the rooms weren't huge, and the hanging storage in the closet is a nice touch since there are barely any drawers for clothing storage. The bathroom was also tight, and could use more hooks for hanging towels and wet swim suits. Perhaps that will be addressed in the remodel as well?

The hotel is located in the middle of the Entertainment district and within easy walking distance to the business district. With the West End seconds away and Theater land on the same street it's the perfect hub for city trips, business breaks and sightseeing tours of Toronto. Rooms are comfortable and pillows are amazing. The WiFi is excellent. The gym is exceptionally good for a hotel gym and hardly ever busy (open 24 hrs). The restaurant serves great food with attentive service and the hotel staff are equally as helpful. Onsite parking downstairs in the garage (no valet park) makes everything just that little bit easier. I'd stay here again.

We were very impressed with the hotel and our two nights here were very nice. The hotel facilities were very good, parking on site was very easy, in house dining was very good breakfast was really good we didn't eat in the evening as the children's menu wasn't great. Roof top pool was very cool and the kids loved it, swimming and looking up at the CN tower! The location was amazing right in the heart of everything, rogers stadium is very close the BlueJays were playing at home on the nights we stayed but it didn't feel that busy pre and post match in the area. Would definitely stay here again. Some parts of the room were a little tired and needed TLC, these were small things like wardrobe doors not closing properly, wall sockets loose and moving inwards when you tried to plug something in.
