    Modern Hotel With Amazing View

The location makes for an amazing view, but there are other hotels (including the Radisson and the other Marriott) that we’re a much shorter walk to the attractions. I arrived few hours prior to check-in but I was assured at the front desk that they would give me a room in 40 mins, they took my number and said they'd call. I said I didn't mind waiting, I knew I was early but they said no no, they'll have a room ready shortly. 2 hours and 30 mins later I'm still waiting, meanwhile I see others coming in, checking in and going upstairs. I didn't mind waiting for my room as I understand I was early but I didn't appreciate the very wrong timeline. Had I been told they wouldn't be able to accommodate me, I would've left my bag and gone out. Elevator wait Wow took forever, no kidding, other reviewers weren't exaggerating. Room was nicely renovated and clean, bed was really comfy but unfortunately I couldn't enjoy it's full comfort because of the old aircon unit in the room that made noise every time it went on and off during the night and woke me up. Tried to turn it off but it became too hot. Wanted to order room service, but saw the extra, extra, extra fees and decided against it. I also didn't like that there was no concierge or anyone to help with where to go for what, etc. there is a tour desk in the lobby that sells their own tours. But the woman there admitted that the tours were a ripoff. The one tour for the Niagara Fury and Behind the falls was $91 pp. turns out that we got both of there attractions - with the bus pass, elevated and other things for $25. Overall, if you're in a falls view room, it's really a gorgeous view. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel, but it is 20 minutes away from the life of the city. I'm a huge fan of Marriott, and I've stayed in a few hotels in Niagara and I'm disappointed to say that this wasn't the best one.
