the visit to Louisville was a birthday trip for my wife: she wanted to go someplace where we could take a cruise on a paddle-wheeler. The paddle-wheeler was not in operating season during our visit. We shall return. We really enjoyed staying at the Brown: the architecture, the service, the food, the location, and the history was intriguing. A minor complaint was the room had a sent of mildew.
