The St. Regis Bangkok truly lives up to the St. Regis brand. Check-in was done in our room which is always appreciated. We The room was beautifully appointed. Best linens, incredibly comfy bed, deep soaking tub and shower. Only criticism is the lack of sound proofing in the rooms. We could hear doors slamming and people talking which is very disturbing. At this level of hotel, the rooms should be totally sound proofed. The staff at the hotel need a special mention. Everyone was so on the ball and on top of every request we had. We were never told 'no' which is exactly what differentiates top hospitality experiences from mediocre ones. Responses were always 'yes of course' or 'let me see what I can do'. This goes such a long way in terms of guest experience. Housekeeping staff thoroughly cleaned the room leaving it feeling spotless and fresh every day. Again something that should be a given but often isn't and makes a huge difference. We ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel. Although a relatively small spread the quality of the options were superb. Sushi, dim sum, noodles, a huge variety of fresh juices, freshly baked breads and pastries, egg station, fruits. Absolutely delicious in a beautifully elegant setting. The location of the hotel is perfect. Conveniently attached to the sky train you couldn't wish for a better position. This hotel executes everything with ease and makes its guests feel pampered and cared for. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on our return to Bangkok.
