Plage d’Arcachon is one of the most popular stretches of sand and is a short stroll from the atmospheric Ville d'Été Quarter. Bask on the sugar-white sand, swim in the Atlantic Ocean and take a spin on the vintage carousel. Plage des Arbousiers is a short bike ride away and offers a quieter and more relaxed beach scene.
At almost three kilometres long and 100 metres high, Dune du Pilat is one of the largest sand dunes in Europe. Walk up to the ridge for breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding pine forests.

Getting there
Arcachon Bay is located in the Aquitaine region, a one-hour drive from Bordeaux and three hours from Toulouse. Trains run between Arcachon Bay and Toulouse in around three hours.
