Next time I stay here I will pay extra for a front room as we stayed in a back room which was very noisy in the morning with deliveries, beer barrels and traffic. The bedroom walls were very thin and my husband didn’t sleep much due to noisy neighbours. The bedrooms and bathrooms need to be modernised as a bit tired. All that said, the staff were wonderful, especially our receptionist and breakfast waitress. Having breakfast on the Terrace was delightful and the breakfast itself delicious. I would definitely stay again as the front rooms (the housekeeper very kindly showed us around) had spectacular views. The main lounges were also very comfortable. Excellent restaurants, cafes and bars are on the doorstep.
