Pay your respects to one of the world's most famous inventors at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. It's housed in Beinn Bhreagh, the former summer home of the Scottish-born scientist. Inside you'll find exhibits celebrating his various innovations, including the telephone.
Gear up for a night of Celtic dancing and Cape Breton fiddle music at a Baddeck Gathering Ceilidh held in the parish hall, just opposite the visitor information centre. The traditional "kitchen parties" offer a taste of the island's colourful Celtic roots.

Getting around Baddeck
The Baddeck town centre is easy to get around on foot, while a rental car is the best way to explore Cape Breton Island and the iconic Cabot Trail driving route. Baddeck is 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and a five-hour drive from Halifax.
