Explore the narrow streets of historic Castell d’Aro, which is home to the 16th-century Torre Sequera and the doll-focused Museo de la Muñeca. It once played an important defensive role in La Vall d'Aro and now houses the town’s Cultural Centre.
In Platja d’Aro, you’ll find both large beaches and scenic coves where you can swim and sunbathe in the summer months. Relax on the sands of the village’s main beach, Platja Gran, or escape to the secluded cove of Cala del Pi, which is accessible along the Camí de Ronda walking path.

Castell-Platja d’Aro is a 15-minute drive from Sant Feliu de Guíxols and 1.5 hours from Barcelona and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Buses connect Castell-Platja d’Aro to destinations across the Costa Brava and Platja d’Aro.
