About Janda Baik

First settled in 1930 by residents of the flooded village of Bentong, Janda Baik is nestled in the mountainous Titiwangsa Range of Peninsular Malaysia. It’s home to the Janda Baik Wildlife Fauna Breeding and Research facility where native species are studied, including the Malaysian siamang and the Indian whistling duck.

Janda Baik is a convenient base for exploring Lentang Forest Reserve, which encompasses a large tract of rainforest carved by a rushing river. You can stretch your legs on the hiking trails that lead to rustic wooden bridges or enjoy a refreshing dip at one of the riverside swimming holes. Picnic gazebos and barbecue areas are dotted throughout the reserve.

If you’re feeling energetic, you can challenge your family and friends to a game of paintball at Janda Baik’s SWAT Paintball centre, which comprises a beginner-friendly field and another immersed in jungle terrain. Natural stones and centuries-old trees provide plenty of obstacles that will appeal to all skill levels.
