About Rosarito

Perched on Mexico's Baja Peninsula, Rosarito is a laid-back resort town that's been luring sunseekers in since the 1920s. Spend your time swimming at Rosarito Beach, sipping on tequila cocktails and exploring the legendary nightlife scene.

Things to do in Rosarito

Sunseekers flock to Rosarito Beach, a golden stretch of sand strewn with colourful umbrellas and sun lounges. If you want to party, head to Boulevard Benito Juarez, a lively thoroughfare lined with neon-lit bars and nightclubs. You'll also find plenty of taco stands and steakhouses.

Adventure seekers will love Rosarito's adrenalin-fuelled activities. You can sign up for surfing lessons, set sail on a deep-sea fishing charter or zoom along the beach on an ATV. Venture inland and you'll hit the Peninsular Ranges, where you can go horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.

Sitting just offshore, the URIBE 21 wreck is one of Baja's top dive sites. The vessel was deliberately sunk to create an underwater reef that’s filled with colourful coral and tropical fish. You can also sign up for dive trips to the nearby Coronado Islands, known for their large population of California sea lions.

Thanks to its sun-drenched climate, the Baja Peninsula is a hotspot for winegrowers. Rosarito is a great base for exploring the Valle de Guadalupe wine trail. Guided tours whisk you to sophisticated vineyard, such as Xecue Wines.
