Ponte delle Torri spans 230 metres across a forested gorge and is a spectacular feat of architecture. Built from locally quarried limestone in the 14th century, it’s supported by 10 enormous arches. You can’t walk across the bridge, but you can enjoy fantastic views from several nearby lookouts.

Rocca Albornoziana towers over Spoleto and commands an imposing position on a grass-covered hilltop. Highlights of the collection include jewel-encrusted Byzantine jewellery and ancient Roman relics.

From fine-dining restaurants to casual trattorias, Spoleto offers fantastic dining options. Try local Umbrian dishes like “impastoiata” polenta with beans, sharp pecorino cheese and “porchetta” roast pork with crispy crackling.
