Kosciuszko National Park is the crowning glory of the entire region, offering access to thermal waters and bushwalking and mountain biking trails. It’s also host to the renowned limestone Yarrangobilly Caves, dating back millions of years and full of stalagmites, stalactites, shawls and cave coral formations. Take a guided tour to see the astounding feats of nature within the caves.
Six distinct caves of Yarrangobilly are open to the public and you can explore the largest, South Glory, on your own self-guided tour. Take a Discovery tour through the Jersey and Jillabenan caves, then head to the Yarrangobilly Caves Thermal Pool Walk to relax in steamy spring waters fed by natural springs.
The Castle Walk trail winds along the Yarrangobilly River and is popular with birdwatchers and bushwalkers. You may stumble upon ancient fossils and lively kookaburras up in the trees. The Selwyn Snowfields are about 50 minutes from Talbingo, with skiing, boarding and tubing during winter.

The closest airport to Talbingo is in Tamut, where you can rent a car for the 30-minute scenic drive. Taxis operate in town and private shuttles are available for trips to the national park and snowfields.
