About Teluk Nipah

Hugging the west coast of Pangkor Island, Teluk Nipah is a laid-back village and beachside resort just off Peninsular Malaysia. It provides an idyllic setting for exploring the colonial fort and colourful Chinatown of Pangkor and spotting the island’s resident hornbills.

Kick back on the golden sands of Teluk Nipah Beach, which is lapped by crystal clear waters and backed by restaurants serving grilled fish. At its northern end lies Coral Beach while just offshore are the islands of Pulau Giam and Pulau Mentagor, which can be accessed on daily boat trips.

At the northern end of Coral Beach is Lin Je Kong Temple, which is perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Straits of Malacca. It was built to honour the Goddess of Mercy and is dotted with colourful statues. Pay your respects at the traditional shrine or soak up the views from the waterfront benches.

Getting there

Teluk Nipah is just five minutes’ drive from Pangkor Airport, which has regular flights to Kuala Lumpur. The Pangkor Ferry Jetty is 10 minutes away and receives ferries from Marina Island. Minivans and motorcycle taxis are readily available for getting around Pangkor Island.
