Things to do in Zamárdi

Zamardi Public Beach stretches for three kilometres along the shores of Lake Balaton. A grassy foreshore dotted with trees spans the full length of the beach, while metal step ladders make it easy to access the water. Lay down your towel on the grass and relax in the sunshine before taking a dip in the lake. The water is clean and shallow, making Zamardi Public Beach ideal for families. Music concerts and festivals are held on the Zamardi foreshore throughout the summer.

Zamardi is a gateway to the Balatonboglár wine region. Spend the day visiting vineyards dotted along the shores of Lake Balaton. The region is known for Olaszrizling, a white grape variety that produces light and fruity wines with soft acidity. Sip wine in tasting rooms or sit down for a lavish food and wine pairing experience.

Hike up to the Kohegyi Kilato lookout for sweeping views over Lake Balaton and the surrounding countryside. Along the way, you’ll pass by vineyards dripping with grapes. Pack picnic supplies and enjoy lunch at the summit before heading back down.

From toddlers to teens, Zamárdi Adventure Park offers fun for the whole family. Clip into a harness and speed along treetop ziplines, climb aboard the miniature steam train and make a splash in the artificial lake.
