Hafjell Alpine Centre promises some of the best downhill skiing in Europe. Discover more than 44 kilometres of groomed slopes at the world-class facility, with runs for every level. The centre hosted events for the 1994 Winter Olympics and is famous for its long ski season, which spans from November to April.
The longest run stretches seven kilometres down the face of the mountain and offers plenty of opportunities to build up speed. Three designated children’s areas make Hafjell Alpine Centre great for families. There are several terrain parks where you can practice your skills on boxes, rails, bowls and walls, as well as six kilometres of floodlit cross-country trails to explore by day and night.
In summer, Hafjell Alpine Centre morphs into one of Norway’s premier mountain biking destinations. Ski lifts whisk you up the mountain where you can choose from 18 exhilarating trails, ranging from beginner-friendly to advanced.
Hafjell Alpine Centre is located in southern Norway, 15 kilometres from Lillehammer. Rental cars are an easy way to visit Hafjell Alpine Centre, or you can take a taxi from Lillehammer. Trains run between Oslo and Lillehammer in around two hours and Oslo Airport is a two-hour drive south.
