About Hood River

Nestled on the Columbia River, Hood River is a port town home to arts and food festivals and over 24 sites on the National Register of Historic Places. Considered the “windsurfing capital of the world”, Hood River is also a popular spot for outdoor adventurers looking for mountain biking trails, wineries and scenic hikes.

Hood River is all about embracing Oregon’s enthralling outdoors, so venture down to the Hood River Waterfront Park for a swim at the crescent-shaped beach or picnic on the grass. The neighbouring Hood River Event Site is where most people go windsurfing or paddle out in kayaks.
