About Kolbotn

Located at the northern end of Kolbotnvannet, Kolbotn is a lakeside suburb to the south of Oslo. It lies in the heart of the traditional Oppegård district, which has been populated since at least the end of the last Ice Age. Modern-day Kolbotn centres around a sprawling shopping mall and boasts family-friendly attractions for all seasons.

Things to do in Kolbotn

In the heart of Kolbotn is the Kolbotn Torg, a bustling shopping mall where you’ll find big-name fashion retailers, homewares stores and beauty salons. When it’s time to eat, you can dine on Asian cuisine at the China House, grab a pizza from Kullebunden Spiseri or enjoy the historic surroundings of the Gamle Tårnhuset Restaurant.

If you’re visiting in the winter months, head to the Ingierkollen Slalom Center, which features four downhill ski slopes and a child-friendly practise area. Snowboarders can take advantage of the halfpipe and test their skills on the jumps and rails, while those new to snow sports can book a lesson with one of the centre’s experienced instructors.

On the other side of Kolbotn is the Rush Trampoline Park, which is the first of its kind in Norway. It's the perfect place to head on a rainy day, with all of its wall and floor trampolines located indoors. In addition to doing tricks on the trampolines, you can jump from high towers into foam pits and play cannonball on one of the trampoline tracks. The on-site cafe offers drinks and snacks with views across the park.
