About She’ar Yashuv

Traversed by the Dafna Stream, She’ar Yashuv is a small town in the Upper Galilee’s Hula Valley, not far from Israel’s borders with Lebanon and Syria. It was founded in 1940 by a group of Zionist families and is named after a passage from the Book of Isaiah: “A remnant will return”.

If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss a visit to the Shulman Chocolate Museum, where you can sample delicious chocolates and watch them being handcrafted. It’s a short stroll from the gardens of Tslilim Vetslalim, which feature a children’s playground and stand alongside the City Gate Synagogue.

She’ar Yashuv makes an ideal base for exploring Hurshat Tal National Park, which is home to an atmospheric oak grave, an orchid garden and barbecue facilities. For sweeping views across the region, climb to the hilltop of Givat HaEm where you’ll find a small bunker dating from the 1967 Six Day War.
