Hang out at the Bukit Batok Nature Park, a former quarry turned into a lush natural haven. You can spend hours here browsing through stores, such as Beauty Language, Giordano, Japan Home and Kitty Mobile. If you’re hungry after all that shopping, head to Mufiz Food Centre, which specialises in authentic Asian dishes.
If you want to watch some local sport, time your visit with a game at Bukit Gombak Stadium, which hosts athletics competitions and football games. If you need to cool off, make a beeline for the family-friendly Bukit Batok Swimming Complex, which has shaded picnic areas and ample space for swimming laps or playing games.
While you’re in Bukit Batok, don’t miss a visit to Singapore’s unforgettable TreeTop Walk, a free-standing suspension bridge that offers views across the treetops and deep into the lush forest. It’s a short walk from Jelutong Tower, another excellent lookout with 360-degree views of the surrounding forest and city.
Getting around Bukit Batok
Bukit Batok has two MRT stations within its town limits, which provide reliable transport within the district and to other areas of Singapore. You can also catch public buses or taxis for a greater range of destinations.
